Janchi My Favourite Casual Korean Restaurant for Cheese Potato Pancake & Kimchi Stew in Tanjong Pagar

Janchi has been one of my favourite Korean spots since early 2025, and I keep coming back for their aged kimchi stew and cheese potato pancake.

The meal started with a selection of complimentary banchan, featuring kimchi, seaweed, fish cake, pickled vegetables, and other sides.

Aged Kimchi Stew Set Meal $21

Got the Aged Kimchi Stew Set Meal, which was one of the highlights of the meal. The soup was deeply savoury with a rich, tangy flavour from the aged kimchi. Served with rice sotbap. This is definitely a must-order.

Bulgogi Stone Bibimbap $21

We also tried the Bulgogi Stone Bibimbap, served in a stone bowl. The bulgogi was tender and well-marinated. Mixing everything together with the gochujang created a hearty and comforting bowl.

Cheese Potato Pancake $20

Another standout was the Cheese Potato Pancake. Crispy and golden on the outside, it had a chewy texture with the cheese adding richness. Another must-order.
